At American River College there are over one thousand Veterans attending our campus. The Association of Student Veterans offers support, direction, resources and peer support for all veterans and their families. We connect student veterans and attending family members from all branches of military service with other veterans who have served during times of peace and war.
The Association of Student Veterans is a nonpartisan college veteran's club that provides a safe environment for student veterans to help one another facilitate the transition from military life to the college community. We also support Veterans involved in Chapter 31 vocational rehabilitation program. ASV creates a positive social network based on fellowship, mentor-ship, and camaraderie. Through community and campus service, the Association of Student Veterans works to raise awareness on veterans issues; therefore, facilitating the growth of a positive and supportive social environment that will assist all veterans with the successful transition into civilian life.
